WHO ARE WE?
Pure Resolve is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to hurricane recovery, housing solutions, and community rebuilding in Westmoreland, Jamaica. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and go directly toward helping families recover, rebuild, and restore stability after disaster strikes. Many people were already suffering, this suffering is unimaginable.
Our current mission focuses on Westmoreland, Jamaica — the western rural side of the island which was directly in the path of Hurricane Melissa, the most destructive hurricane in Jamaica’s recorded history. The storm left catastrophic damage in its wake — destroying homes, uprooting lives, and crippling already fragile infrastructure.
For us, this recovery effort is deeply personal. We are descendants of Westmoreland, with family still living in the affected parishes, and we’ve long been active in local outreach and rebuilding projects. Westmoreland has always been a proud, vibrant community — known for its warm people, lush countryside, and cultural roots — yet even before Hurricane Melissa, residents faced limited opportunities and unstable infrastructure.
At Pure Resolve, we’re not watching from afar — we are boots on the ground. Every dollar donated goes straight to the people who need it most, without political barriers, bureaucracy, or even credit card processing fees getting in the way. We are specifically focused on Petersfield, Riverhead, Water Works and Sav-la-Mar Hurricane Recovery. We are assisting one person at a time with every need that is of the most importance to the areas residence. We stay in regular contact with local residence in order to keep our efforts targeted. Feel free to participate in the process “hands on” if you would like. The more help, the better.
